More New views on Norfolk - 2/10/13

The acclaimed printmaker Andy Lovell has created two new limited edition silkscreen prints for The Gallery Norfolk, both inspired by the beautiful scenery of the county.

The new pictures follow on from three coastal prints made earlier this year for the ‘New views on Norfolk’ exhibition at The Gallery Norfolk, but  Andy has now turned his attention inland.

One print is of trees at Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk’s glorious National Trust property just outside of Cromer with its 500 acres of park and woodland. The second, ‘Waking Wood’ shows graphic lines of trees planted in the Norfolk countryside. Felbrigg Trees (56cmx76cm) is a limited edition of 60 at £290 unframed, Waking Wood comes in a yellow and a pink version and each colour way is limited to 60 prints (55x76cm) and is £330 unframed

Andy, who makes his home in land-bound Gloucestershire, but enjoys making frequent visits to Norfolk, produces evocative, subtly-hued prints that, in the artist’s words “are distilled from paintings and drawings done on location, imprinting a memory of mood, form and place”.
