Gareth Jones at The Gallery Norfolk

30th January 2014

The artist Gareth Jones' evocative paintings are a welcome addition to The Gallery Norfolk's wide collection of work inspired by the beautiful North Norfolk scenery. Originally from North Wales, Gareth is now living and working in North Norfolk and has produced a striking new collection of large-scale acrylic's and smaller more intimate oil pastels of the coastline and villages of the area.

Two large acrylic pictures at the gallery are wonderful and intense studies of the North Sea waves, the power of which we are very familiar with at the present time. The beautiful villages of Blakeney and Morston feature in gentle oil pastels by Gareth, that show off the soft dancing light of the Norfolk seaside.

2012 saw Gareth's first one-man show, and also acceptance to the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Show at The Mall Galleries in London - no mean feat for any artist, but particularly sepcial for Gareth as it was his first attempt.

Gareth's work has featured in galleries across England and Wales and in addition features in many private collections.
