Mostly using silkscreen as his chosen medium, Andy creates work that reflects his graphic background and an appreciation of British graphic artists.
Artist, illustrator and printmaker Andy Lovell studied at the Liverpool School of Art and Design. He takes his inspiration from nature - trees, hills and coastlines in particular - and from architecture, including structures such as Cromer's famous Pier.
Starting from original drawings and paintings which aim to capture the mood and essence of a place, Andy then translates this back in his studio to a screen-print or monotype, resulting in the graphic interpretation for which he has become so well known.
Andy loves to visit Norfolk and has created a series of prints from this area, along with others from all over the British Isles.
