Anne Townshend

Suffolk based artist Anne Townshend loves to spend time experimenting, learning and developing her art.

Using watercolour has always been a pleasurable challenge, and various workshops and courses she attended over the years have encouraged her to combine this with charcoal and other mediums, particularly when working with landscapes. 

Most recently she has become very involved with printing techniques, specifically linocutting. Carving her designs into lino block gives her satisfyingly graphic images, which she continues to exploit and explore.

Says Anne, 'creating my art is my pleasure, hopefully it gives others pleasure too'
