Richardson and Robbins

The Gallery Norfolk has a major exhibition of new paintings by Mark Richardson and Sam Robbins opening 28th September through to the 15th October.

The two Norfolk-based painters have a fascination for the sea, coastline and the beautiful light found here and their contrasting styles are very popular with art collectors!

Mark’s paintings of the North Norfolk coast and cliffs are in acrylic and graphite pencil. They are striking and graphic, with an immediacy to them that brings a fresh perspective to these well-loved views. He has also included a new series of very cool paintings of Cromer’s  architecture with bold colour and lines.

Sam works often in situ in traditional oil paint and aims to record his immediate emotional response to the environmental conditions of the north Norfolk coast and its hinterland - there is a gentleness to his paintings even though they are often of dramatic weather conditions. Sam also has had a new artistic foray, for him its been sunflowers, three beautiful paintings on show of the summer’s iconic flower.
